I agree with you on the Lost Dog. At first I wasn’t too thrilled with the nose, but the further you get in, you get more enthusiastic.

Saw this in a bowling allley bar, i wasn’t drinking but the staff showed me the branded glassware, a handled squared jam jar, looks quite interesting! Seeing as the choice of beers was the usual rubbish fizzy fodder i probably would have tried this out if i was drinking, for something new to taste.

The big supermarkets in the UK are getting better about having interesting beers. The local angle is rather nice, especially in Scotland where they’re doing a lot of interesting beer at the moment.

I take it the price is for 100 bottles? And I agree on Tesco having a fairly decent beer selection. In Dutch supermarkets its only the really big brands and most of their specialty brews (bocks and such).

I actually like that, and the fact that I have to go over to an independent liquor store for more interesting stuff!
